ASENSE continues to expand its technological capabilities with the development of the ASTRA Modular Camera, a new LWIR (Long-Wave Infrared) camera platform recently presented at various international space and photonics events, where it received an excellent reception from professionals and technology integrators.

Flexibility and High Performance
ASTRA has been designed as a modular and configurable platform, adapting to different operational requirements through the integration of various optics, sensors, processing electronics, and communication interfaces. Thanks to this flexible architecture, the camera can be adjusted to multiple applications and demanding environments.
The first model is based on an LWIR sensor with 1280×1024 pixel resolution at 60fps, which includes 1GbE and MIPI interfaces. Additionally, it integrates advanced functions such as shutter control and Non-Uniformity Correction (NUC), allowing for stable, high-quality thermal imaging.
Customized Systems: The New Electronics Department
The in-house development of ASTRA’s electronics was made possible because ASENSE recently expanded its structure with the creation of a new Electronic Systems Department.
This new line allows us to offer complete optronic systems, which can be quickly customized thanks to their modular design. This enables us to deliver optimal and robust systems in a context of constant change across sectors.
