ASENSE has developed a Stereo Vision demonstrator capable of working in three spectral bands simultaneously: VIS (RGB), SWIR and LWIR. This development represents a significant step forward in multispectral vision systems, opening new possibilities for applications that require detailed visual information across different ranges of the electromagnetic spectrum.

A three-band spectral system

The demonstrator consists of 2 groups of 3 cameras each (VIS, SWIR, LWIR), equipped with wide-field lenses of more than 100° and different distortion profiles. Thanks to this configuration, the system is capable of capturing images across the three spectral bands, processing, fusing them, and transmitting the resulting video via optical fiber to the end user.

Image processing is FPGA-based, achieving very low latency while generating 5 synchronized video channels (R, G, B, SWIR, LWIR) per side in 4K resolution at more than 50 fps. This real-time processing capability is key for applications that demand fast and precise responses, such as industrial inspection, surveillance or advanced navigation systems.

Customization capabilities and evolution towards a final system

Through this demonstrator, ASENSE has advanced in the development of multispectral image processing and fusion systems, consolidating customization capabilities in both optics and electronics. These advances lay the groundwork for evolving towards a more compact final system, tailored to the specific needs of each application and sector.
